International Day of the Tiger

International Day of the Tiger

Tigers live in 14 countries in the world. In the last decade, their populations are stable or increasing in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Russia and China. According to the Global Tiger Forum, about 5,574 tigers remain in the wild, but much more work is needed to protect this species to secure its future in the wild. In some areas, including much of Southeast Asia, tigers are still in crisis and declining in number.

International Day of Tiger is to raise awareness about these majestic big cats, to learn about how we can protect their habitats; and to ensure that we pass on this curiosity to kids.
